Groundwork Atlanta works collaboratively and strategically to develop and deliver projects in five key program areas:
Places
We collaborate with a variety of stakeholders and partners to plan and implement improvement of underutilized land, with a focus on brownfield reclamation, sustainable development, and expansion and enhancement of public spaces.
People
We engage with a diversity of community members, especially young people, in positively impacting their surroundings, while working collaboratively with non-profit, business, and government organization representatives.
Water
We strive to protect and improve the health and quality of urban waters, including Proctor Creek and the Chattahoochee River, through enhanced access, amenities, and application of best management practices.
Food
We work to increase the scale and accessibility of Atlanta's local food systems through expansion of more sustainable food production, processing, distribution, consumption, and reclamation facilities.
Connections
We are helping to establish safer and more complete networks for travel of all types, including walking, cycling, and public transit.
